Centre for International Education of Russian New University (RosNOU) deals with teaching Russian and preparing foreign students for studying on key departments of RosNOU, for studying at other Russian Higher Education Institutions, for entering the magistrates (MA) and the post-graduate studies.
Pre-University preparatory courses for foreign students include:
•Russian language course
•Scientific style of the Russian language for a chosen specialty
•Courses of biology, geography, engineering graphics, information science, literature, mathematics, regional geography, physics, chemistry, economy.
Pre-University preparatory courses are mainly aimed to form student’s skills to communicate with teachers and students on the topics of a chosen specialty, to attend lectures and to write them down, to speak at seminars and during practical training sessions, to take part in discussions on professional subjects, to read curriculum and scientific books, to do written tasks.
The period of studies is 1 academic year. At the end of the year students take exams in the Russian language and on key subjects. After having successfully passed the exams students get a certificate of the pre-university studies completion.
Students of the pre-university studies can pass test in Russian as a foreign language and if the test is successfully passed the students will obtain a State certificate which certifies the level of their Russian.
More than 250 foreign students from 10 countries of the world have graduated from CIE of RosNOU.
Highly qualified lecturers, including Ph Doctors and Doctors of Science are working for the Centre. Various teaching methods, programmes, tests, training aids have been prepared by them and they are widely used in the training courses.
CIE of RosNOU has a library, language laboratories, records library, video and computer classes, computer multimedia tutorials.
In addition to pre-university studies students acquaint with historical, cultural and national features of Russia. The Centre provides excursions to historical and literary museums, art exhibitions, overview trips throughout Moscow and the Moscow Region.
